5 best pizza recipe ideas

There are many, many, many different types of pizza recipes that you can explore but I have listed my top 5 best pizza recipes because they are relatively simple to make.  A good pizza by rule of thumb should be basic.  The more ingredients you pile on top, the heavier the pizza is and harder to slide into a wood pizza oven (if you have one) but if you’re using a pizza pan in the oven then you’ll be ok.

The other factor of overloading with ingredients is the digestive aspects.  The more you add, the more you need to burn off.  So below are simple and easy recipe ideas to choose from.

  • Neapolitan (also a variation of the Margherita) Pizza: This classic pizza features a simple tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil. To make it, start by preheating your oven to 230°C (450°F). Stretch and shape a ball of pizza dough into a thin, round crust and place it on a lightly floured baking sheet or pizza pan. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then top with a few fresh basil leaves. Bake the pizza for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
